Licenses

WARNING: This is a place of experimentation of the Laboratorio de derecho pro-creativo.

At this time we do not recommend the use of any of the following licenses for non-derivative works, as the licenses themselves are works in progress awaiting changes and validation by competent lawyers, as well as peer validation within the libre and commons community.

On derivative works please remember to license under current version "or any later version", so you can be sure your code is covered by the legally safest version.

We are always happy to receive your thoughts on our work through our contact form.

Hacktivista Libre Software License

Hacktivista Reciprocal Software License

The Hacktivista Reciprocal Software License is not ready for publication yet.

We expect to release it as a license based on the Hacktivista Libre Software License with a reciprocal profit-sharing requirement in case there are charges for distribution or access to the software.

This license will still allow the use, modification, distribution and redistribution of software for everyone in any context.

We are not sure if it will be able to be recognized as a libre license as defined by the Free Software Foundation and we are certain that it will not qualify as Open Source as defined by the Open Source Initiative. Rest assured we do not intend to adjust those concepts to suit this license.

We don't consider this effort as a replacement to existing licensing alternatives, but as other alternative to consider before "all rights reserved". If you would like to collaborate, specially if you are a copyright or derechos de autor specialist, please reach us at our contact form.
